After living here for three years we've learned to take the weird with the excellent. Fall in Utah is absolutely stunning and makes you really glad you live here. We typically celebrate with a hike through the canyons, but this year we settled for "preggopotamus hiking" to accommodate baby and my growing belly. Fall also means the return of blouse-y tops, leggings, and boots. I've been lucky enough to "fit" into my typical clothes for most of this pregnancy and I aim to continue my boycott of maternity clothes in these final months. Free People (a company I loved pre-baby too) is the greatest of my life. Their flowing hippie fabric lets me feel like myself even while my body is changing. Their tops made an appearance on our hiking excursion and crib set-up. Don't worry, we realize there's more to having a baby than fashion. We've been working on getting the nursery ready. Putting up Eileen's crib was a family affair and quite the adventure.

It was a perfect day for treasure hunting. The sun was shining, there was open road and one picnic area was empty save for sprinklers that were a blast to run though. We explored 6 rest areas and came away with nothing but a chipped windshield. It didn't matter though, a day spent with the Tez is treasure enough for me!

New Low and high altitudes

Last weekend we embraced the chilly weather and the fact that the Sundance festival is practically in our backyard. We didn't fest as hard as others or run into any famous people but we got into New Low (filmed in Gainesville) and we had a good time. I think that makes for a successful first run. hiding out from the 0 degree weather in the heated wait tents in line early for New Low early morning movies = easier to get low wait-list numbers yay! time to go in! director Adam Bowers q & a with the cast me being a nerd and getting my picture taken with fellow Gainesville kids the Egyptian is the symbol of the festival see you next year!

Where in the world is Britt-any Bremer? ( try singing it to the Carmen Sandiego theme song) This is what fall looked like to me: hot pools courtesy of Lava Hot Springs snow and reindeer pajamas the University of Florida (and my brother) old lives old pastimes same great family (missing Lauren though) It's funny how such whirlwind trips turn into such amazing times. I lost myself in consecutive weekend escapes and found myself in the middle of December.

"How beautiful if nothing more, than to wait at Zion's door"

Last summer I was navigating my way through the grid system and trying to find a decent mall in this state. This summer I'm embracing my inner Mountain Woman and figuring out what all the fuss is about. I'm doing this in designer jewelry though...that's my compromise. 4th of July weekend gave us the perfect excuse to pack the car, drop the puffs off at the Farm and road trip to southern Utah. W e proceeded to experience some of the more am azing things in our own backyard. Like... ... Best Friends : The animal sanctuary where the sh ow Dogtown is filmed is my new "happy place." It's home to dogs (of course), cats , birds, horses, pigs, and bunnies who are looking for their forever home. In the meantime they are taken care of at the sanctuary where they get to spend their days in the appropriately named, Angel Canyon. ... the North Rim of the Grand Canyon: When you're heading to the "less popular" area of the GC, you don't expect ...
